HARDEN ADDS ANOTHER MAJOR ASSET TO ITS REAL ESTATE PORTFOLIO

Following the success of their transactions in Ville LaSalle and Lachine, Harden and RioCan have done it again, this time in Laval. Harden is buying 50% of the shopping center known as Méga Centre Notre-Dame in Laval, which was previously wholly owned by RioCan. Following this transaction, RioCan and Harden will attempt to redevelop this shopping center, where Harden will act as manager and developer, drawing on its expertise in these fields. This transaction is an acquisition worth over $34 million. It follows a transaction in which Harden and RioCan, represented by Gascon, sold their Ville LaSalle shopping center to Groupe Brivia for $70 million. Gascon, through partner Nicolas Beaulieu and assisted by colleague Lucas Cesaratto Desrosiers, once again led this new Laval shopping center transaction for Harden, which involved the acquisition, financing and all agreements between Harden and partner RioCan. Gascon is a firm with expertise in real estate law, and a number of major clients in this field. Nicolas Beaulieu is a senior partner at Gascon, specializing in complex transactions requiring extensive experience in partnerships, joint ventures, property management, development, construction and financing.
