Gascon is delighted to announce the recent arrival of Me Alexandra Kallos and Me Frédéric Savoie to the firm.
Since the start of her career, AlexandraKallos has concentrated her activities in the field of insurance law, first working in the legal department of a Quebec insurance company, then in private practice. Her expertise and experience will be put to good use in a variety of complex, high-profile cases, including cases of alleged fraud requiring in-depth investigation and the defence of Commissions and educational institutions, manufacturing defect claims, personal and commercial civil liability, municipal liability, professional liability and personal injury, among others. His arrival supports the work already undertaken by the team to develop the firm’s insurance law department.
A graduate of Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Law, Alexandra also studied psychology, an invaluable asset when it comes to negotiation and conflict resolution. Alexandra also devotes her time to a number of NPOs, including Préma-Québec, where she was a member of the Board of Directors, and Éducaloi, for which she was a volunteer educator.
FrédéricSavoie joins the firm’s litigation and business law teams. He will draw on his experience in civil and commercial liability litigation, including insurance, business, real estate, estate and securities disputes. A member of the Quebec and Ontario Bars, Frédéric can act before all judicial bodies in these two provinces.
His career has been marked by stints with law firms that have enabled him to gain valuable experience in international arbitration cases. Frédéric is an additional resource for the consulting team in commercial agreements and business strategies, which may include drafting partnership, financing, leasing, franchising and licensing agreements.
Frédéric is a graduate of numerous universities, including McGill University and the Université de Montréal. He studied at the University of Birmingham (England), where he obtained a Diploma in English Law, and at Pennsylvania State University (USA), where he obtained a Diploma in International Arbitration. He is also a member of associations including the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners Association (YCAP) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
