Spencer has practised in civil litigation since being called to the bar with a particular emphasis on insurance law and personal injury. He has appeared in the British Columbia Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of British Columbia, and Provincial Court of British Columbia. He has experience with handling files at all stages of litigation including bringing and defending applications, conducting examinations for discovery, and conducting mediations.<\/p>\n
Spencer also has expertise with estate planning preparing wills, powers of attorney, and medical representation agreements. He also has experience assisting individuals who need to take over a family member’s affairs through a committeeship application.<\/p>\n
Spencer has deep roots in North Vancouver being born and raised there. He attended Simon Fraser University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in history and minoring archeology. He then attended the University of Victoria where he completed his Juris Doctor. He completed a Master of Law degree at Trinity College Dublin where he achieved a first class with distinction. Spencer was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2023.<\/p>\n
Spencer enjoys traveling, hiking, and skiing when not at work. One of Spencer’s goals is to ski on every continent, having done skied on four so far.
