JEAN PROULX

Jean Proulx has been practicing commercial, real estate and corporate law for more than 40 years. He has been a counselor and negotiator in the fields of financing, property acquisitions and dispositions, business law, corporate law and financial restructuring. He is also involved in other fields of law, namely, in the construction, real estate development and management of retirement residences.
His career has led him to work with various individuals, corporations and institutions in the business community as well as with in-house counsel from a wide range of organizations. He has also drafted or commented a number of instructions and work manuals and financing documents used by both financial institutions and private corporations.
Jean Proulx lectured at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal and as part of the Québec Bar’s Continuing Education Program. He is a member of the International Lawyers’ Union (the “UIA”) and has spoken at UIA conferences in Nice and Seville. He was invited by a major financial institution as a keynote speaker as part of the continuing education of its management team and is frequently solicited to speak on various topics relating to real estate law. He has been a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations and is currently a director of the Ronald McDonald House (Montréal).
