On March 7, 2025, Gascon et Associés S.E.N.C.R.L. successfully represented the Fédération Québécoise de Ski Alpin in opposing an application for a stay of the Federation’s decision to temporarily exclude a minor athlete from competitive events. The Superior Court of Quebec, presided by the Honorable Pierre Nollet, J.C.S., affirmed that serious allegations of physical violence—significant enough to jeopardize participant safety—justified the athlete’s exclusion from the provincial championships.
This ruling underscores the vital importance of preserving integrity and safety in sports, while confirming the effectiveness of the Federation’s policies and procedures. Our firm is proud to have delivered legal support in this matter, empowering the Fédération Québécoise de Ski Alpin to enforce its regulations and protect its members.
We applaud our litigation team’s exceptional work in securing a favorable outcome for the Federation made up of Alexandra Kallos and Alice Nikolov.
