Ms. Robitaille joined the Gascon team as a student and articling student in the summer of 2011. She has been promoted to partner at the firm in 2019. Her practice focuses mainly on real estate and commercial law, where she acts as advisor and negotiator for mandates involving the drafting of various agreements and arrangements, and the setting up of financing and partnerships. In this capacity, she advises companies on property acquisitions and sales, and project development, in addition to representing several financial institutions and private lenders in real estate financing.
In the course of her practice, Ms. Robitaille has developed an expertise in contractor’s licenses and the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec, having given several lectures and written articles on the subject.
Ms. Robitaille has also developed an expertise in working with telecommunications providers and data center operators.
For several years, Ms. Robitaille worked closely with a major fiber optics company to meet its various needs in technology and commercial law. She has negotiated and implemented various service agreements, master service agreements (MSAs), easements, confidentiality agreements, user licenses, source code escrow agreements and irrevocable fiber right-of-use (IRU) agreements.
For data center operators, she negotiates framework agreements, service and colocation agreements, power distribution agreements, reviews internal terms and conditions relating to data accessibility, security and confidentiality rules, while working with procurement departments. She also collaborates on various mandates for the development of additional centers and their inherent construction.
As part of her involvement with the firm, Ms. Robitaille played an active role in setting up the Startup G program, dedicated to providing quality legal services to entrepreneurs and start-ups. Ms. Robitaille accompanies entrepreneurs at every stage of their project, providing sound advice during the various phases of a company’s growth.
Ms. Robitaille is also the partner responsible for the firm’s marketing and communications activities.
Ms. Robitaille is regularly called upon to give lectures on real estate financing and development, notably as part of the firm’s conferences and the strategic days organized by Open Forum.
Ms. Robitaille was a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondation du Collège Charlemagne and a member of the organizing committee for an event benefiting the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
For five years, she was a member of the Young Ambassadors Committee of the Institut de Développement Urbain du Québec (IDU) – Montréal. The committee’s mission is to establish and promote a network of young real estate professionals. During her tenure,Ms. Robitaille was an active member of the sub-committee that set up the IDU’s very first mentoring program.
